The big drop in 2013 is the south end zone opening. It added about 6,600 seats, and 3,800 names on the list got the call in one year. That's close to three normal years at once.
Leave out those 3,800 and I've moved about 1,226 spots a year. The last five years were quicker, about 1,602 a year. My 2023 postcard jumped 2,249 spots, the best year I've had without new seats.
How the line actually moves
Your number drops for three reasons. Some names at the very front get offered tickets. Some people ahead of you fall off the list, from a missed address change, a move, or a death. And once in a while Lambeau Field adds seats, which moves everybody at once.
Only the people ahead of you count. If someone behind you drops off, you don't move at all. So the closer you get to the front, the fewer people are left to drop off, and the line slows down. Fans near the front on Reddit say they move about 500 spots a year. I'm moving about three times that.
Nobody agrees on how many names reach the top each year. FOX6 said 100 to 200 in 2023. A 2019 Milwaukee Journal Sentinel story said 747. My postcards can't settle it, because people dropping off ahead of me move my number too.
The calculator takes your number and, year by year, subtracts the names that get tickets plus a slice of the people still ahead of you. The middle guess uses how fast my postcards moved from 2021 to 2026. The slow guess uses all 16 years. The fast guess assumes a few really good years in a row. For my number that's 2082, somewhere between 2067 and 2116.
It's a guess built on one fan's postcards and some news stories. The Packers don't publish any of this.
How long is the list?
Nobody outside the ticket office knows the exact number. Here's what the news has reported:

Put your kids on the list
Lots of Wisconsin parents add a newborn. Fans say it takes a birth certificate. The Packers' page doesn't spell out the rules for adding someone, so call the ticket office before you count on it.
Gift your spot, or leave it in a will
I looked, and the Packers don't publish any rule for handing down a spot on the waiting list. Some fans say you can leave it in a will. I haven't found the Packers saying so.
Once you have the tickets
The rules are clear here. The Packers let you pass season tickets to a spouse or "blood" relatives up to first cousins, while you're alive or in your will. Not to friends. The full rules.
What the tickets cost when your number comes up
You don't just get the call. You get a bill. Here's a regular season stadium seat, per game:

Gold, Green and Club seats
Sign up and you're on the Green list, the main package. Gold is the smaller package, a couple of regular season games and a preseason game. Fans say the Gold line moves faster, some say by years. I haven't seen the Packers say that, and I don't have Gold postcards to check it.
Club seats have their own separate list, on the same form. Suites are sold by the Packers directly. I haven't found real numbers for either one, so the calculator sticks to regular stadium seats.
What fans on Reddit say
I read every thread I could find. It's Reddit, so take it with a grain of salt. Here's what keeps coming up:
- Parents put their newborns on the list right after they're born.
- The Gold list moves faster than Green.
- Miss an address change and you're off the list for good. At least one fan says it happened to them.
- Asking for fewer seats might move you up faster. A couple of fans say so.
- The Packers stopped renewing people who resell all their tickets, and that's freeing up more spots lately.
- People near the front say the list barely moves some years.
- The "955 years" wait everybody jokes about goes back to a 2011 Journal Sentinel story, as far as I can tell. Nobody means it literally.

Decades for most people. News reports put the list somewhere between 137,000 and 155,000 names, and my own number moves about 1,226 to 1,602 spots a year. Put your postcard number in the calculator for your own estimate.

How do I check my place on the list?
The Packers mail a postcard with your number once a year. I don't know of any online lookup. If you move, call the ticket office at (920) 569-7501 so the postcard still finds you. Fans say a returned postcard can get you dropped.
