Favre’s matchups vs Green Bay as a Viking were the most anticipated events of the 2009 season. In their first meeting at Minnesota on October 5, the Monday Night Football game broke cable TV ratings records. Favre bested his long-time protégé Aaron Rodgers, beating the Packers 30-23.
With hopes of beating Favre upon his return to Lambeau as a Viking in their second matchup of the season, the Packers didn’t fare much better. Green Bay lost at home, 38-26.
Randy Moss’s Moon Game – First Playoff Meeting (2005)
