In 1992, Ron Wolf traded a first round pick for Atlanta Falcons quarterback Brett Favre. This one move changed the trajectory of the Packers for decades, restoring a championship-winning tradition absent for 3 decades. As a Jets executive the year prior, Wolf had wanted to draft Favre but missed him by one pick. As the Packers new GM, one of Wolf’s first actions was to rescue Favre, who was relegated to a third-string backup under Jerry Glanville.
